JF Restaurants is seeking passionate and experienced Pastry Cook to join our esteemed team at Hamlin House.
About the Role: The Pastry Cook will assist the Executive Pastry Chef in all aspects of mise-en-place and collaborate closely with the Chef during service and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up the service station and ensure all mise-en-place is in order.
- Accurate and timely plating during service
- Maintaining a clean, efficient, and organized station
- Weekly inventory and ordering
- Ensure all products are labeled and organized in the pastry station, pastry walk-in, and prep kitchen.
- Perform station breakdown and deep cleaning with professionalism and pride.
This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and focused on consistent execution. You’ll follow established recipes and systems with a commitment to quality and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to take direction well and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
