Local Salary "L" Schedule - Part-Time, maximum of (19) hours per week
Hourly Wage is $32.46 per hour
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Instructors shall perform the duties as specified in conformity with policies established by the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and the J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College Faculty, Staff, and Student Handbook.

Background Check Requirement
In accordance with Alabama Community College System Policy and guidelines, the applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a consent form and agree to a non-refundable fee of $26.40 for a criminal background check. - Provide competent instruction in the subject area
- Facilitate student learning utilizing a variety of learning options to meet individual student needs and differing learning styles
- Prepare customized course outlines and develop course content and teaching materials that include nanotechnology to ensure an effective learning experience
- Incorporate most current teaching techniques, subject area developments, and technology into the learning experience
- Provide for effective evaluation and assessment of the learning experience of the summer bridge participants
- Maintain necessary attendance and submit data to the Grant Manager in a timely manner
- Evaluate and record summer bridge participant's performance/achievement in a timely manner and provide prompt feedback to participants
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and work ethic (i.e. preparation and punctuality
- Use technology and other innovative approaches to enhance the teaching/learning process
- Retain and submit documentation as requested to support accreditation efforts
- Perform other work-related responsibilities as assigned by the Grant Manager, Division Chair, Dean of Instruction, and/or the President
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the subject area, education, or related field, from a regionally accredited institution
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, other employees, and the public
- Ability to project a professional and congenial demeanor
- Excellent oral, auditory, and written communication skills
- Basic computer (word processing) skills
- Excellent organizational skills
