Duties
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick and process customer orders
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other machinery to load and unload shipments safely
- Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and precise placement using mechanical knowledge and proper techniques
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards
- Manage shipping & receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including order picking, packing, and staging for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following safety guidelines and conducting regular inspections of equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles with warehouse supervisor experience preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks; certification is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment and safety procedures under OSHA regulations
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout shifts
- Prior experience in construction or industrial environments involving heavy equipment operation is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy during order picking and load/unload tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
