The Shaw JCC has the award-winning Mandel Early Childhood Education Center and we believe that children are capable, competent learners who learn best when they are actively involved in their enfironment and engaged in activites. Responsibilities of an Float Teacher are:
- Work across all different age groups (infants, toddlers, and preschool) and step into the classroom as teache or co-teacher during an absence.
- Teach the Jewish value of respect and follow the classroom ciurriculum and help with bathrooms breaks, lunch time and naptime.
- Assist with transitioning children to special programs outside the classroom (enrichment, swimming and gym-time).
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with infants and toddlers or associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- CDA certificate, preferred but not required
- CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Awareness training
