What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Clerical Assistant position at Jewish Home?
Pay Rate: $16.56
12 hours per week
GENERAL SCOPE: Provides Clerical Support to the Medical Records department including scanning,filing,document management and scheduling.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalent, strong organizational and computer skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent professional communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position will assist the administrative assistant and other team members with the following:
- Scan and upload documents into Jewish Home medical record.
- File and maintain HIPAA compliant clinical records.
- Fax and email documents.
- Assist with other clerical duties as assigned such as clinic scheduling.
- Provide support to medical consultants.
- All other job duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Previous clerical, administrative, or medical office experience preferred. Experience with electronic medical records systems a plus.
