The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and results-driven Events Planner to lead the planning, production, and execution of a wide range of impactful live and virtual events.
From signature fundraising galas to community-building programs, the Events Planner will play a key role in crafting meaningful experiences that support the Federation’s mission and engage donors, volunteers, and community members across all walks of Jewish life.
Role and Impact
The Events Planner will work collaboratively with the events team, internal departments, volunteers, and external partners to ensure all events are executed with excellence and purpose. This individual will manage every detail, from logistics and budgeting to vendor negotiation and attendee experience, while aligning each event with Federation goals for engagement, fundraising, and outreach.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and who brings both creativity and operational skill to every project.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end planning and implementation of Federation events, including fundraising programs, community gatherings, and virtual initiatives
- Develop event concepts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and volunteer leadership
- Oversee all on-site (and online) logistics, ensuring a seamless attendee experience
Budget & Vendor Management
- Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals
- Negotiate contracts with venues, vendors, and speakers; serve as the primary liaison for external partners
Donor & Volunteer Engagement
- Cultivate strong relationships with event chairs and volunteer committees
- Support sponsorship efforts, auction item solicitation, table sales, and other revenue-generating activities
Event Operations & Data
- Manage attendee tracking, seating assignments, nametags, and special accommodations
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in relevant databases
- Partner with the Technical team to produce high-quality virtual and hybrid events
Thrive Here If You Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field
- 4 years of professional event planning experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with event databases or CRM platforms
- A collaborative, team-first mindset and an eye for detail
- Knowledge of or connection to Jewish values and traditions is a plus
