Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City seeks a natural relationship builder--someone passionate about the local Jewish community--to join our collaborative team as a Development Officer for the organization.
This vital role will inspire generosity through donor stewardship, will cultivate volunteer partnership and leadership, and will strengthen connection to our organization and the Jewish community. Working in partnership with others on the Fundraising & Development team, the Development Officer will help ensure that we exceed our fundraising goals in order to meet the needs of the community.
The work will include managing and growing a significant portfolio of donors, using in-person and virtual meetings, events, phone calls and thoughtful notes to engage with supporters and prospects. In addition, this professional will take responsibility for key programs and events throughout the year to help deepen our relationships with community members and donors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maximize philanthropy among members of the Kansas City Jewish community within a given portfolio. Determine growth opportunities; identify and implement strategies for increasing giving levels and deepening engagement.
- Develop personalized donor engagement plans for a key segment within a given portfolio to cultivate long-term relationships and elevate philanthropy over time.
- Identify high-potential donor prospects and future volunteer leaders; cultivate and steward them to grow the donor base.
- Engage in community activities and serve as a leadership role model.
- Partner closely with marketing team to communicate with constituents and maximize engagement at events/programs.
