Position Description: Overview: With the growing need for mental health services in our community, Jewish Family Services of San Antonio is looking for a talented, passion and mission driven Office Receptionist with experience in a medical professional setting. Our Office receptionist acts as a liaison between the therapist and patients by working directly with the provider to deliver high-quality compassionate customer service and clinical care.

The Ideal Candidate for this position will:

- Has experience working in a medical practice setting.

- Be proficient with MS Office Suite or related software.
- Have excellent verbal communication, organizational skills with attention to detail.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the phone, answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members.
- Set up new patients and update current patients information in the EHR System.
- Notify providers of patient arrivals.
- Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third party claims.
- Assists patients with insurance papers and billing questions.
- Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Must Haves:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in an office environment.
- 1-2 years of Medical Administration experience, preferred.
- Valid Drivers license.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
