What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Driver position at Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey?
Jewish Family Service of Central N.J. is a family-oriented non-sectarian health and social service agency is looking for a transportation driver to provide the transportation of clients to and from appointments and their private residences in a safe, secure and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid New Jersey Drivers’ license
- Willing to work flexible hours.
- Ability to function in a social service atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Transport clients utilizing company vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
- Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50lbs, and transport clients in wheelchairs on paved/unpaved surfaces and ramps.
- Communicate with Transportation Coordinator regarding daily/weekly scheduling.
- Maintain a professional image and attitude regarding clients and co-workers.
- Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Assist clients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
- Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken). Spanish speaking a plus.
- Must be able to accurately complete activity logs/vehicle reports.
- Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices and cell phones.
- Perform all duties assigned by the Transportation Coordinator.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
