Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for two critical client services for the Jewish community: transportation and meals. The Food Program position provides administrative and evaluative support for all food programs in Jewish Services by implementing and ensuring the quality of the food and creating value for the clients who use the food program services. The incumbent interacts with clients, vendors, volunteers and Jewish agencies. Currently the programs include: Meals4You and the delivery of fresh food to clients from different vendors. Transportation is provided to seniors for medical, shopping, and social appointments. The current vendor is GOGO Grandparent.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree
Experience: Two years experience working with vendors and customers. Excellent application and use of Excel.
Primary Job Functions :
Food Program:
Interview volunteers and match to food tasks: bagging, delivery routes, etc.
Supervise volunteers: set-up HR background checks, maintain volunteer information, ensure volunteers are available to perform weekly tasks and provide performance feedback.
Develop schedule and routing for food deliveries
Assign volunteers for Duval, St. Johns and Palm Coast deliveries
Organize area in Dupont/Stein building for palette deliveries, food bagging, and food refrigeration/freezer storage.
Balance monthly bills for clients, and Meals4You vendors.
Utilize contract / billing management tasks for all vendors as described in contracts and agreements. Provide timely contractual updates as needed.
Partner with Jewish organizations to develop volunteer base to support programs
Develop marketing and communications opportunities to support increased usage of programs and services
Implement meetings, surveys, and other ways for communicating with, and receiving feedback from, the community about the relevancy of programs and services offered by JFCS and whether we are meeting the needs of the Jewish Community
Create mechanisms for internal and external evaluation of engagement initiatives
Food Safety and Processing
Conduct/perform food safety procedure.
Record food safety statistics for all food deliveries.
Refuse any food bags where food does not meet safety standards and/or is not appropriate for the food boxes.
Maintain equipment cleanliness for food storage: freezer and refrigerator.
Employ best in class customer satisfaction processes which result in satisfied clients
For transportation:
Work with community members to enroll in transportation program.
Reconcile vendor billing weekly and monthly
Complete online client records with demographic and income information
Determine client service costs based on their ability to pay
Other
Adhere to COA guidelines as they pertain to programs and services.
Complete other duties as required.
