Senior Group Exercise Instructor

The Senior Fitness Instructor will conduct safe and effective group fitness classes for JCC senior adult members.  The instructor will show professionalism consistently.  Essentials for this position require designing creative class routines, motivating the class participants, and demonstrating exercise modifications.  Successful candidates must possess an outgoing and engaging personality.
 

What You'll Do:

• Have a broad range of experience, including working with seniors.
• Able to create comprehensive training programs built around clients' needs and goals.
• Strong awareness of anatomy and biomechanics.
• Desire to build a successful business in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Maintains logs of class attendance for classes taught.
• Teaches classes in a fun, safe, and challenging manner. Classes must be designed to provide an entertaining exercise program.
• Show movement modifications and conduct a safe and effective class.
• Inspects the studio to ensure the lighting, temperature, sound system, and equipment are all in top working condition. Reports problems and takes appropriate action.

What You'll Bring:

• At least one year of experience teaching Senior Fitness is highly preferred.
• Certification by a nationally recognized organization and accredited by IHRSA is required.
• Senior fitness certification is highly preferred. 
• Current CPR certification and basic first aid training are required.

Work Schedule:

11 am-12 pm
Weekly; Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's
