The Instructor teaches private lessons, beginner through advanced, to students elementary school age through adult.
Schedule
Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday 4-6:30pm with potential for more. 30-minute private lessons are scheduled throughout the week during afternoon and evening hours and run year-round. Hours vary and are set before each session. Plus 3-5 Sundays per semester would work as Musical Director for our Stages program.

Essential Functions
- Teach in a manner that promotes artistic growth from participants
- Stay current on teaching styles and music trends to implement in the lessons
- Work with supervisor to communicate cancelations & scheduling
- Record and submit attendance records weekly
- Maintain a clean and organized area to work with others using the space
- Attend mandatory meetings/trainings
- Communicate openly and clearly with families
- Coordinate and implement final performances & showcases with the Director, Arts Education.
- 1-2 years prior teaching experience, preferably teaching elementary-high school students
- Ability to prepare curriculum for subject matter
- Flexibility, creativity and ability to meet student needs in terms of goals, levels, and areas of interest
- Able to use basic computer technology such as email and time clock
- Knowledge of Jewish culture, values and traditions or willingness to learn
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to build positive relationships with a diverse group of students
- Able to demonstrate piano and voice techniques
- Able to move some supplies as needed, up to about 25lbs.
