Jewel Pools & Outdoor Living is a growing design/build landscape and pool construction company looking for a dedicated and reliable Pool Maintenance Technician to kick off our maintenance division. As a Pool Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining swimming pools, ensuring that all pool equipment functions properly, and managing pool chemicals to keep the water safe and balanced. This is a hands-on, full-time, hourly position requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for providing top-notch service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform routine pool cleaning services, including skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing walls and tiles, and checking filters
- Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, heaters, filters, and chlorinators to ensure proper functioning
- Start up and balance water chemicals on new pool builds
- Test and balance pool water chemistry by adding necessary chemicals (chlorine, acid, pH stabilizers, etc.) to maintain safe and optimal water conditions
- Maintain accurate service records, including pool cleaning schedules, water tests, and chemical treatments
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction with services provided
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed when handling chemicals and pool equipment
- Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean and working condition
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in pool maintenance
- Knowledge of pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems
- Understanding of pool water chemistry and the ability to balance chemicals correctly
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Computer skills and ability to use software for scheduling, estimating, invoicing, etc
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
This is a full-time hourly position, Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm with the occasional Saturday due to inclement weather during the week. Pay starting at $20/hour dependent on experience PLUS competitive commission on equipment/remodel sales.
