We are seeking an experienced Picture Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a eye for detail, a passion for creating beautiful works of art, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality craftsmanship. In this role, you will work with a variety of materials, including canvas, paper, and glass, to create stunning, custom-made picture frames that showcase and preserve the artwork within. Picture Framer Responsibilities & Duties
- Measure and cut mat board, foam board, and other materials to size
- Assemble custom frames using a variety of techniques and materials
- Fit artwork and glass into frames, ensuring a tight and secure fit
- Mount artwork onto mat board and foam board using conservation techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Picture Framer Qualifications & Skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of conservation techniques for preserving artwork
- Proven experience as a Picture Framer
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of different framing techniques and materials
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials, including large pieces of artwork
