Jewart's Gymnastics is a family business that opened in 1969. We offer preschool, recreational gymnastic and tumbling classes. In addition, we train boys, girls, rhythmic, T&T, and Xcel competitors. Our facility also offers a climbing wall, a low ropes course and walking trails on our 4.5 acre campus. Our girls team is 180 gymnasts strong! Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our Boys coaching team. The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching and/or teaching gymnastics to students of various ages and skill levels or a former athlete interest in learning! This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive and safe learning environment, where students can develop their gymnastics skills while building confidence and teamwork.
Duties
- Instruct gymnastics classes for students of different ages and skill levels, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor student performance, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to enhance their abilities.
- Maintain a safe and organized training environment, ensuring all equipment is in good condition and appropriately used.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain discipline and focus during training sessions.
Skills
- Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly in gymnastics or related disciplines such as cheerleading or martial arts preferred, but not required.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage students effectively while fostering a love for physical activity.
- Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Able to obtain background checks.
