Operations Manager
Location: Orleans Technical College
This pivotal role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, drives key initiatives, and strengthens collaboration across academic and workforce programs.

Job Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the SVP, helping turn strategic goals into actionable plans.
- Streamline daily operations to enhance coordination across programs and departments.
- Track progress on major initiatives and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Prepare data summaries, dashboards, and reports to support informed decision-making.
Project & Initiative Management
- Lead cross-functional projects, including new program development, accreditation activities, and workforce initiatives.
- Manage timelines, resources, and communication for complex projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Team & Communication Support
- Facilitate clear communication between the SVP and internal teams.
- Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-up summaries for key meetings.
- Collaborate with program directors, coordinators, and instructional staff to support strong program performance.
Administrative & Compliance Support
- Assist with grant documentation, program compliance, and accreditation reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and resource planning in partnership with finance.
- Ensure required state, accrediting, and institutional documents are accurate and submitted on time.
External Partnership Coordination
- Support employer relationships, workforce partners, and advisory board activities.
- Coordinate campus visits, partnership meetings, and special events.
- Represent the SVP at selected internal and external meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, human services, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, administration, project management, or higher education leadership.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven track record of problem-solving and driving results.
- Experience in career and technical education, workforce development, or postsecondary administration.
- Familiarity with accreditation (e.g., ACCSC, Board of Nursing) and state regulatory processes.
- Experience working with employer partners or community workforce organizations.
