Residential HVAC Installer
Jetstream Mechanical is searching for an experienced Residential Lead HVAC Install Technician to serve the Washtenaw County, Michigan area. If you are searching for a full-time technician role near Ann Arbor, Michigan please let us know!
Responsibilities:
- Install HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties, including furnaces, air conditioners, air handlers, and ductwork, following manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Connect electrical components and ensure proper wiring for heating and cooling equipment.
- Install and connect sheet metal and flex duct systems to ensure proper airflow and ventilation.
- Interpret drawings and schematics to understand system layouts and measurements.
- Review job details to ensure jobs are properly staged for success.
- Check for leaks, test airflow, and ensure proper system performance.
- Comply with all applicable standards, codes, policies, and safety procedures.
- Communicate with customers about how to properly use their new HVAC equipment.
- Work with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
- Train and Develop junior team members.
- Maintain and properly care for tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
Qualifications:
- EPA Universal certified. - We can provide.
- NATE certifications preferred. - We can provide.
- Customer service experience with strong people skills.
- Applicants must have a current driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record, must be insurable to drive to and from assigned jobs.
- Able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Former installation and boiler experience.
- Willingness to interface with clients and effectively communicate service/project outcomes and recommendations.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience desired.
- Flexibility with schedule during high volume times, ability to work M-F 7:30am-4:00pm.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings preferred.
- Acceptable DMV report.
- Ability to complete pre-employment drug screen.
