Job Overview
Jetstream Irrigation is seeking experienced, motivated Landscape Irrigation Technician to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you will service, troubleshoot, repair, and improve residential and commercial sprinkler systems across Mid and Southeast Michigan. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and working outdoors while taking pride in quality workmanship and water stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
Work independently or alongside other technicians to complete service work orders efficiently and with high-quality results
Perform spring start-ups, winterizations, and mid-season inspections per customer contracts
Diagnose, repair, and improve all makes and models of sprinkler systems
Troubleshoot and repair timers, valves, pumps, wiring, fixtures, and fittings
Utilize wire trackers and other diagnostic tools
Communicate with customers, explain system issues, and recommend system upgrades or improvements
Upsell services and improvements when appropriate
Collect customer payments and document completed work
Use tablets or smartphones to operate irrigation service software
Report jobsite issues or concerns to the Irrigation Manager
Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials responsibly
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in sprinkler installation and/or irrigation service
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding conditions
Ability to lift 60 lbs unassisted
Valid Michigan driver’s license with chauffeur’s endorsement
Positive attitude, steady work pace, good common sense, and willingness to learn
Comfortable interacting with customers and working independently
Ability to use mobile devices and service software
Compensation & Bonuses
$24–$34 per hour, based on experience

Overtime paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40

Daily travel to residential and commercial job sites
Remote start with company vehicle provided (eligibility based on tenure and attendance)
