General needs of the company

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze performance of Jetson aircraft electronics and flight computer.
• Analyze vehicle flight logs and compile them for the engineering team.
• Design, optimize, validate flight computer and electronics firmware and software.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure performance and safety requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot flight computer and electronic integration issues and implement corrective actions.
• Set up reliable and redundant RC systems including their integration with onboard electronics and robust fail-safe operation.
• Provide engineering support for the assembly and testing motors, batteries, and related electronic components.
• Maintain detailed documentation, work instructions, flight performance reports.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.
• 5 years of work and development of UAV vehicles.
• Proven experience with UAV flight computers, UAV electronic components, sensors and their integration.
• UAV flight computers firmware and software development.
• Proficiency with Python, C#, Java, or other high-level languages.
• Experience with electronics, electrical wiring, and soldering.
• Experience with electric propulsion, batteries, brushless motors, motor controllers.
• 10 years of building RC aircraft, helicopters, drones, and aviation interests.
• Electronics assembly and prototype development experience.
• Experience setting up and running tests and experiments.
• Ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, schematics, assembly procedures and work instructions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be willing to travel nationally supporting team efforts during shows, fairs, and supporting customers.
• Must have a valid non-commercial Class C driving license.
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States and willing to work onsite at Jetson HQ California.
