Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily deli operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
- Maintain accurate inventory through proper stock rotation, replenishment, and monitoring of product levels
- Ensure all deli products are handled, prepared, and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards
- Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
- Supervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and performance expectations
- Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement
- Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address concerns
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal audit standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the deli department
- Previous experience in deli, food service, retail, or warehouse operations
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and product handling
- Experience leading or managing a team
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
- Experience managing a deli or perishable department
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and audit expectations
- Background in high-volume retail or wholesale environments
