Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the produce department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and product rotation
- Ensure all produce is handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standards
- Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
- Supervise and support department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and operational standards
- Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays to maintain an organized and appealing department
- Support receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracy
- Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Previous experience in produce, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations
- Strong understanding of product handling, rotation, and stock management
- Ability to identify product quality issues and maintain freshness standards
- Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory support role
