JetRide is seeking an accomplished, forward-thinking Director of IT to lead and oversee all technology initiatives across Carefree Boat Club and JetRide. This role is a strategic leadership position responsible for maintaining robust, secure, and scalable systems, as well as driving the implementation of new solutions that align with and advance the company’s business objectives.
The ideal candidate will be both a visionary and a hands-on leader, capable of managing current technology infrastructure while planning and executing future digital transformation initiatives that support operational efficiency, exceptional customer experience, and long-term growth.
Key Reponsibilities
Maintenance and Optimization of Existing Systems
- Oversee the ongoing support, performance, security, and continuous improvement of all core IT systems, including:
- Reservation Management Systems (e.g., reservation, scheduling, and asset tracking platforms)
- CRM Platforms (customer relationship management tools for member and lead tracking)
- Financial Systems (accounting, billing, and payment processing solutions)
- Fleet Management Systems (tracking, maintenance scheduling, and usage analytics for boats and jet skis)
- Network Infrastructure (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and VPN solutions across all marina and office locations)
- Communication Systems (internal communication tools, VoIP, and email platforms)
- Security and Access Control Systems (IT security platforms, surveillance systems)
- Ensure all systems operate at peak efficiency, with minimal downtime and seamless integration between platforms.
- Lead ongoing IT maintenance, updates, patches, and vulnerability management to safeguard data integrity and privacy.
Strategic Planning & New Technology Implementation
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define technology strategies that align with overall business objectives, including growth initiatives, new service offerings, and operational scaling.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new solutions that:
- Enhance member experiences (e.g., mobile apps, self-service booking tools)
- Improve operational efficiency (e.g., AI-based scheduling and predictive maintenance)
- Support marketing and sales initiatives (e.g., advanced analytics, marketing automation platforms)
- Strengthen cybersecurity posture and data protection across all entities
- Oversee large-scale IT projects from concept through deployment, including vendor evaluation, budget management, implementation planning, and staff training.
- Drive data strategy and analytics initiatives to improve decision-making and business intelligence capabilities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a key partner and advisor to the executive team on all technology-related matters.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, consistency, and operational excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity.
- Strong project management skills and third-party management.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing complex system maintenance and implementing enterprise-level IT solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, cybersecurity, and enterprise software systems.
- Proven ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and drive measurable results.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working in multi-location or membership-based environments (hospitality, marina, or recreational industries preferred).
- Salesforce Certification
- Knowledge of; Pardot, G-Suite, Sage, QuickBooks, Avochato, Aircall, ADP, Microsoft Suite, Stripe, APIs and integration tools.
