Position Summary
The Production Material Handler is responsible for the physical organization, movement, and
inventory accuracy of ingredients and components used in production. This role plays a critical
part in ensuring that materials are properly staged, stored, and accounted for - and that
system records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) reflect true on-hand quantities
at all times. The ideal candidate is physically capable of handling heavy or bulk materials,
detail-oriented in inventory tracking, and experienced with WMS platforms.
Responsibilities
Receive, organize, and stage raw ingredients and production components including bulk
- Move large and heavy materials throughout the facility using appropriate equipment
- Perform physical inventory counts and cycle counts to verify that on-hand quantities
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, and stored in accordance with product
- Support production teams by pulling and delivering required materials to the line ahead
- Collaborate with Inventory, and Production teams to communicate material availability,
- Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, condition, and compliance; report discrepancies
- Assist with the physical setup and breakdown of production areas, including moving
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas, ensuring aisles are clear and
- Other duties as assigned.
Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills Required
Experience with ERP/WMS platforms strongly preferred.- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate inventory counts and reconcile physical
- Experience handling heavy and bulk materials including drums, barrels, and large
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly when managing multiple
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing lists, and production documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to coordinate clearly with
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strict adherence to safety procedures, including safe material handling techniques and
- Previous experience in a production, warehouse, or materials handling environment
Schedule
8-hour shift- Day shift (1st Shift: 7:00 AM β 3:30 PM)
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime as needed
