Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ABA Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance their quality of life. Your expertise in medical documentation and understanding of medical terminology will be essential in providing effective therapy and maintaining accurate records.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess the needs of clients and develop appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to therapy.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide training and support to families on strategies to reinforce learning and behavioral goals at home.
- Stay current with best practices in ABA therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and record-keeping practices.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes related to behavioral health.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Previous experience working with children is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- A compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and empathy.
