Full-Time Machine Operator

Jetco is looking for a CNC machinist to join our team. This role involves interpreting technical drawings and specifications, selecting and installing cutting tools and accessories, monitoring machine operations, and conducting quality inspections on finished products. Programming experience is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Set-Up and Operation:

• Program (a plus but not required), set up and operate machinery to designated tolerances, as specified by work order, blueprints, drawing, templates, or layout.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances of parts using precision measurement tools.

Production & Quality:

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Make adjustments to the machine as needed to correct any issues and maintain product quality.
• Document production processes and quality control checks.

Maintenance and Safety:

• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Complete all the required safety procedures prior to and during operations.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of production goals.
• Communicate any issues or delays to the relevant personnel.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating CNC machines or similar equipment.
• Computer literate (ability to clock in and out of jobs using an ERP system)
• Strong understanding of metalworking techniques, machine operation, and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy metal material (up to 50 pounds).
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Regular work hours M-TH 6:00AM – 4:30PM
