About the roleJetco Delivery is seeking a Heavy Haul Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute complex oversized and specialized freight movements. This role prioritizes company-owned asset utilization while strategically sourcing third-party carriers when needed, managing projects end-to-end from planning through delivery.
What you’ll do— Plan and manage heavy haul, oversize, and project freight from inception through delivery
— Maximize utilization of company trucks, trailers, and drivers; source external carriers as needed
— Coordinate permits, escorts, route planning, and regulatory compliance across North America
— Serve as the primary customer contact, managing communication and expectations
— Monitor shipments in real time and proactively resolve service issues
— Track costs, performance, and complete post-project reviews
What you’ll need— 3 years of experience in heavy haul, brokerage, or asset-based transportation
— Strong knowledge of OS/OW permitting, routing, and specialized equipment (RGNs, step decks, multi-axle, dual-lane)
— Must be able to confidently quote heavy haul and project freight shipments from start to finish, with a strong understanding of market rates, capacity, and operational requirements
— Proven carrier negotiation and fleet utilization skills
— Experience with TMS, load boards (e.g., DAT), and fleet systems preferred
— High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
