Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintain floors through regular care, including buffing and polishing as needed.
- Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Provide porter services when necessary, ensuring common areas are tidy and presentable.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
