HVAC Technician
Job Overview: As a member of the Facility Maintenance Team, you are primarily responsible for inspecting and diagnosing the causes, problems, and failures in heating and air conditioning systems. Also responsible for chillers and boilers and identifying equipment system repairs or replacements.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Team Leader or Leadership for the purpose of completing projects and work orders
- Fabricate equipment parts to meet specialty needs and or replace unavailable parts
- Inform personnel regarding status of work orders
- Complying with building and safety regulations
- Inspects HVAC systems and their components including but not limited to heating units, building and exhaust fans, ventilation units, and evaluating condition, identifying any repairs or replacements as necessary
- Identify necessary repairs for preventive maintenance
- Installs of heating and air conditioning equipment and systems
- Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems
- Prepare written materials (repair status, activity log)
- Repair heating and air conditioning systems (pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping)
- Requests for equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensuring part availability for installs
- Respond to emergency situations (on call rotation to resolve immediate concerns)
- Interpret various technical data such as pressure and temperature
- Other miscellaneous tasks are assigned by Team Leader and other members of Leadership
Qualifications: Experience as an HVAC technician required.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
- Overtime available
Qualifications:
- The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
- The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
- Standing: Continuously
- Walking: Continuously
- Sitting: Never
- Stooping (forward leaning): Frequently.
- Reaching/Working Overhead: Frequently.
