Job Description
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Day shift Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Midnight shift Monday through Thursday from 7:00 pm to 5:30 am. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Summary/Objective
Packager assembles variety of packaging such as boxes or crates, label and record what is packed, inspect packaging for tears, cracks and dents, and make sure the materials inside are packed in a way to minimize breakage during transit.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 40 pounds on a daily basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Forklift Operator License.

- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
- Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders.

- High school diploma or GED diploma. Three to six months’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED diploma.
- Six plus months’ work related experience or training.
