Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure top-quality pizza and menu items.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety, proper food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service standards.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
- Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks efficiently, and ensuring smooth service during busy hours.
- Implement training & development programs to enhance team skills, improve service quality, and promote professional growth.
- Monitor budgetary goals by controlling labor costs, food costs, and overall operational expenses.
- Foster a collaborative team environment through effective interviewing, hiring practices, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a quick service & fast food restaurant or casual dining environment with a focus on pizza or similar cuisine.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a track record of training & development of staff members.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and cash handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and food handling protocols.
- Experience in hospitality management or hotel experience is advantageous but not required.
- Prior experience with budgeting, shift management, restaurant operations, and customer service excellence is highly valued.
