Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician
· Provide support outside normal working hours, if necessary, and provide weekend support on rotation with fellow Maintenance Technicians
· Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safe work practices
· Ensures assigned task are completed efficiently, cost effectively and in a timely manner.
· Conduct repairs and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
· Conduct repairs and maintenance of fuel oil dispensers and related fueling equipment
· Conduct repairs and maintenance of food service equipment
· Conduct repairs and maintenance of structural systems such as roofs, walls, doors, ceilings, etc.
· Support the setup and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and conduct repairs when necessary
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician: Qualified applicants shall possess the following:
· Possess a valid State driver’s license and a clean driving record
· High school diploma or equivalent as well as a Certificate in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration Technology or equivalent credentials.
· Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
· Minimum 5 years of experience as a HVAC/R technician or in related field
· EPA Certification in accordance with 40 CFR Part 82
· Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
· A strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
· Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including man lift, dump trailer, pump trailer, and small hand tools to name a few
· A strong working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and metering devices
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
