The Role Philosophy:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Controller is the backbone of the company’s US financial operations. Acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership and a hands-on manager of the accounting team, this role is critical to maintaining financial rigor, operational discipline, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring full compliance with US tax, accounting, labor, and data protection requirements, while establishing and maintaining robust internal controls. This role oversees accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings and delivers reliable financial statements that enable confident, data-driven decision-making.
In addition, the Financial Controller plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This position offers significant ownership and the opportunity to meaningfully strengthen and scale the company’s US finance function.
Who You Are:
With a background in Accounting or Finance, you bring at least five years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of two years in a senior role. You have a strong command of US accounting and tax standards and are comfortable working with accounting systems and advanced Excel to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and insight.
Highly detail-oriented and well organized, you pair strong analytical skills with a practical, hands-on mindset. You are a confident people leader who can manage, mentor, and develop an accounting team while staying closely engaged in day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality execution.

Main Responsibilities:
Supervise compliance with tax and accounting standards
- Ensure tax compliance
- Implement internal controls
- Analyze non-compliance risks
Manage accounting operations
- Supervise journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Guide and support the accounting team
- Perform monthly accounting closings
- Reconcile and analyze various general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Support the audit process
Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Disclose consolidated financial information and ensure its reliability
- Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Provide recommendations based on reliable analysis to support growth and profitability
Supervise the payroll function
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and government reporting
- Oversee compliance with data protection laws
- Supervise the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Report on prevailing wages
Support the Finance module implementation in the ERP
- Ensure requirements for the US entity are covered in the implementation.
- Provide all documentation required for the implementation within the delays established.
- Support the finance module testing.
Your Profile:
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years in accounting, including 2 years in a senior role.
- Mastery of accounting and tax standards, proficiency in one or more accounting software, advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical ability, leadership.
