Responsibilities
- Perform precise wheel alignments on a variety of vehicles, including front-end and four-wheel alignments, utilizing advanced alignment equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot suspension, steering, and wheel alignment issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues related to alignment, suspension, electrical systems (including ADAS—Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and powertrain components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs on complex systems such as ADAS sensors or electrical components.
- Repair or replace suspension parts, steering components, wheel bearings, and other related systems to restore proper alignment and vehicle handling.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and alignment specifications for each vehicle serviced.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly to clients.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background with a focus on automotive repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, including ADAS technology integration and calibration procedures.
- Hands-on experience with schematics reading, diesel engine repair, powertrain servicing, and auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to perform precise repairs.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required.
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools efficiently.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to deliver professional support in a fast-paced environment.
