We have some of the most experienced and talented baristas and bakers, including Shawn McKenzie. Shawn and her team are baking and perfecting the beloved Rustica favorites, while introducing some new, creative and delectable goodies. We are looking to grow our team. We have an opening for a part-time and/or full-time Dishwasher-Cleaners at our NEW Wayzata location, opening in late NOVEMBER 2025!

Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Rustica Dishwasher-Cleaner and become an essential part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you’ll ensure the cleanliness and organization of all kitchenware, utensils, and dishes, supporting our staff to operate smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help maintain a spotless environment that meets the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting while contributing to memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, including sinks, counters, and storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all food service items in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with staff to ensure all dishes are ready for service promptly and efficiently.
• Follow sanitation procedures for cleaning equipment and maintaining a hygienic work environment.
• Assist with general cleaning duties around the kitchen area to uphold cleanliness standards at all times.
• Cleaning of guest areas during and after hours.

Skills

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of basic food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff during busy periods.
• Reliability is a MUST.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment for periods of up to 8 hours in length.
• Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift bus pans and trays frequently weighing up to 50 pounds 60% of the shift.
• Will spend 98% of the time standing and walking.
• Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
• Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
• Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
• Must be able to speak the primary language of the restaurant, appropriate to its location.
