Essential Job Functions
- In charge of the forming area in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.
- Directs, controls, assists, and trains employees assigned to a specific area, looking out for safety, and adherence to GMP’s, and communicates and delegate tasks to team members per Supervisor’s instructions.
- Responsible for the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the companies’ quality systems, processes, and procedures.
- Operates machinery, equipment, tools in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines, and instructions and assigned machinery speeds.
- Assemble/Disassemble machines for use or change overs. Ability to properly lubricate all moving parts to prevent damage due to friction.
- Interacts with maintenance on production equipment to trouble shoot or discuss preventative maintenance to prevent production down time.
- Maintains down time records, delivers, inspects, and performs all activities required of other members of the area, line, or team.
- Must be able to read and understand product weights, scales, and thermometers.
- Must be able to read and understand product specifications established by Shine Foods and recognize deviations from those specifications.
- Performs clean-up activities as assigned.
- May be assigned other duties by plant management as required.
- All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor
- Monitors and enforces cGMPs
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs
- Ability to understand written and oral direction in English and/or Spanish.
- Occasionally carry and/or lift 50 Lbs.
- Must have the ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, climb, fill raw material into machine.
- Ability to walk through production areas.
- Must be able to work in a loud environment.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
- Wear proper footwear

- Occasionally be available to work on weekends
