Looking for a qualified interior designer to join our creative design team as an Interior Design Associate. Here you will use both your creative and technical skills to bring inspiring spaces to life! Our firms works predominately on residential projects ranging from New Build construction, large scale interior renovation projects, addition projects, furniture selections, and interior styling projects. We're a smaller design firm, so we all work closely together to create our designs. It is a team effort, so we are looking for a designer who enjoys collaborative an environment, a team player.
Collaborate closely with lead designer, Jessicah Kolter, who enjoys mentoring designers eager to start their career. Also, you will work day to day with design team members, clients, contractors and vendors to develop space plans, detailed design drawings and elevations, selections of finishes & fixtures, detailed schedules, and comprehensive design presentations. You will learn the whole design process, from initial client meeting to completely designed home after installation.
Looking for a designer with a passion for design and is detail oriented. The position requires someone who is excited to start their career and eager to learn the process.
- Assist in creating detailed interior design plans using AutoCAD
- Develop client design presentations, color schemes, lighting plans, and material selections that reflect current trends and client preferences.
- Prepare accurate drafting and construction documents while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating new build or remodeling projects from inception through completion.
- Support the procurement process by sourcing furniture, fixtures, lighting fixtures, and materials that meet design specifications.
- Participate in site visits to oversee construction progress, ensure design integrity, and address any issues related to new build or remodeling work.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and vendors to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and professionally.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Excell
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Understanding of interior design principles including color theory, lighting design, CAD drafting, and space planning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members effectively.
- 3D modeling skills
