Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly demeanor and guide them to their tables, ensuring a smooth seating process.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience while increasing sales.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and food safety.
• Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments securely, and manage cash handling responsibilities.
• Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, support bussing tables, and maintain cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
• Solid time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours efficiently.
• Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is a plus for understanding food preparation and presentation standards.
• Familiarity with OpenTable reservations system or similar platforms for managing guest bookings.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, cash handling, and transaction processing.
• Experience with serving in a nightclub or hospitality setting is advantageous for creating lively guest interactions.
