What are the responsibilities and job description for the Studio Production Manager position at Jessica Robertson Photographic Artistry?
Studio Production Coordinator
Jessica Robertson Photographic Artistry
Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | In-Person | Ashland, Virginia
About the Position
Have you been looking for a career where creativity and organization come together?
Jessica Robertson Photographic Artistry is looking for a Studio Production Coordinator to join our boutique photography studio.
We're more than a photography studio—we create artwork that celebrates families, preserves legacies, and tells meaningful stories. We're looking for someone who wants to become an important part of that mission while helping our studio continue to grow.
This is a unique position for someone who enjoys both the creative and organizational sides of a business. You'll work closely alongside the owner, helping manage the many behind-the-scenes details that take a portrait from the camera all the way through production and into our clients' homes.
Every day can look a little different, so we're looking for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, takes initiative, pays attention to the details, and isn't afraid to figure things out.
What You'll Do
As our Studio Production Coordinator, you'll play an important role in keeping our creative and production workflow organized and moving forward. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing and preparing portrait images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
- Organizing and managing digital image files and client projects
- Assisting with image preparation and production throughout the portrait process
- Designing portrait albums and other photographic products
- Reviewing incoming portrait orders and products for quality control and accuracy
- Helping ensure client orders are completed correctly and on schedule
- Creating marketing content that showcases our photography, clients, and studio personality
- Creating and editing short-form video content and Reels for Instagram and Facebook
- Assisting with social media posts and other studio marketing projects
- Helping maintain organized production systems and workflows
- Basic client communication through phone and email
- Collaborating directly with Jessica and the studio team on creative ideas, projects, and day-to-day studio needs
- Identifying problems, finding solutions, and helping improve the way we do things
Because we're a small studio, this position isn't limited to one narrow set of responsibilities. We're looking for someone who is willing to jump in where needed and enjoys being an important part of the overall success of the business.
We're Looking for Someone Who Is
- Creative and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects at once
- A self-starter who takes initiative rather than always waiting to be told what comes next
- A natural problem solver
- Dependable, positive, and professional
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively
- Able to prioritize tasks and stay organized during busy seasons
- Excited to learn and grow
- Someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Friendly and comfortable communicating with clients by phone and email
- Interested in photography, design, visual storytelling, and creative marketing

Don't check every preferred box? We still encourage you to apply. We're looking for the right combination of creativity, organization, initiative, and willingness to learn.

We offer flexibility in scheduling, but this is not a remote position. Because this role is an integral part of our studio's day-to-day production and operations, dependable in-studio availability is important.
The Person We're Hoping to Find
Technical skills matter, but personality and work ethic matter just as much.
We're looking for someone who sees something that needs to be done and takes care of it. Someone who notices the little things. Someone who enjoys finding a better way to do something. Someone who can be given direction but doesn't need to be micromanaged.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants more than just a job. We'd love to find someone who wants to grow with us, take ownership of their role, and become an integral part of our studio team.
