Jessica & Friends Community (a faith-based IDD organization) is looking for DSPs who want to help our Individuals live their best lives. We serve adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Definition and Basic Function: The Supported Employment Administrative Assistant assists the Supported Employment Manager in overseeing the daily operations and effectiveness of supported employment services for individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment. This position supports staff, coordinates services, ensures quality service delivery, assists with regulatory compliance, and helps individuals achieve and maintain meaningful community employment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Oversight:

- Assist the Supported Employment manager with daily operations of supported employment programs.
- Assist with program development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Complete billing and documentation within parameters established by funding agencies and the agency.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Staff Supervision & Development:

- Provide day-to-day guidance, and support to Employment Specialists and other program staff.
- Assist with staff orientation, training and ongoing professional development.
- Participate in staff evaluations and performance improvement efforts.
- Facilitate team meetings along with the Manager, case reviews, and problem-solving discussions as assigned.
- Client Services:
- Support person-centered planning and employment goal setting for all program participants
- Assist Employment Specialists with job development, placement, coaching, and retention strategies.
- Monitor participant progress towards employment goals and recommend service modifications when appropriate.
- Promote community inclusion, informed choice, and competitive integrated employment opportunities.
- Respond to participant, family, employer and stakeholder concerns in a professional, timely manner.
- Employer & Community Engagement:

- Assist in developing and maintaining positive relationships with local employers, vocational rehabilitation counselors, Supports Coordinators, schools and community partners.
- Participate in employer outreach and networking activities.
- Promote inclusive hiring practices and education employers regarding the benefits of employing individuals with disabilities.
- Reporting & Compliance:

- Assist in maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with funding and accreditation standards.
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
- Assist with reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure program adheres to regulations set by state, federal, and other funding agencies.
- Work Environment

- Combination of office, remote, and community-based settings.
- Occasional travel to job sites, community partners, and training events.
- Support person-centered planning and employment goal setting for all program participants
- High school diploma and 2 years of experience in Supported Employment, Vocational Rehabilitation or Workforce Development.
- Knowledge of disability services, employment law (ADA, SSA work incentives, etc.), and vocational support strategies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must submit to a criminal background check, a driver’s record check, and initial physical examination and substance screening.

Work Schedule: The Supported Employment Assistant Manager is scheduled 40 hours per week Monday through Friday usually between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
