JSI Low Voltage Division is seeking Project Managers for telecommunications opportunities in the Huntsville, Alabama area. These low voltage cabling roles are full-time opportunities offering competitive weekly pay and benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Serve as a Project Manager with a primary focus on Low Voltage twisted-pair copper cabling, fiber-optic cabling (FOC) and associated infrastructure.
• Design, survey, install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain IT and telecommunications infrastructure including but not limited to: twisted-pair copper cabling; fiber-optic cabling (FOC); audio-visual cabling such as display-port and/or HDMI; COAX; multipurpose low voltage cabling and infrastructure; cabinets, racks and shelves; telephony blocks; patch panels; grounding bus bars and circuits; conduit, cable trays and raceways.
• Perform site surveys and gather required data in approved formats as assigned by task.
• Coordinate and perform trouble-ticket resolution as assigned by task.
• Evaluate, interpret, and deliver as required by task: pre-implementation drawings; redline drawings; as-built drawings; network diagrams; block diagrams; connectivity diagrams.
• Work independently and with others and serve as a team member to accomplish tasks.
• Perform inspections for IT and Telecommunication Systems including but not limited to: cable plant; infrastructure; communications distribution systems.
• Prepare and deliver as required including but not limited to: submittal packages; project schedules; manpower estimates; material orders; project take-offs; as-built documents; warranty submissions; close-out documents.
• Deliver inspection reports as required including but not limited to: discrepancy reports and remediation criteria; status reports; test results; punch lists; redline drawings.
• Deliver bill of materials (BOM’s) for project implementation as applicable.
• Deliver Status Reports weekly and trip reports as trips are completed.
• Employees are required to take applicable JSI and host activity site-specific safety training and obtain relevant certifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BICSI Technician certification.
• OEM certifications such as Panduit, Belden, Hubbell, Corning, etc.
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, and NEC Standards.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Recent and directly related experience and education in the areas specified in the job requirements.
• Five (5) years of work experience directly related to the above description.
• Advanced low voltage or installer course or 5 years credible experience.
• Experience in telecommunications network design and management. Demonstrate the ability to work independently, or under only general direction, on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implement structured cabling systems.

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
