Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waitstaff member to join our dynamic team. Experience in fine dining or food service is preferred, along with strong customer service skills and knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling and process payments accurately through POS systems
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling and serving
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle guest inquiries promptly, resolve issues professionally, and foster positive guest relations
- Support host/host duties as needed, including seating arrangements and managing reservations via OpenTable
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and restaurant policies to provide informed recommendations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly desirable; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and processing payments accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability is preferred but not mandatory
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/host roles will be advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items while ensuring guest satisfaction
