What are the responsibilities and job description for the JCS Courier position at Jessamine County Schools Central Office?
This position will be 4 hours on Tuesday & Thursday for a total of 8 hours a week for 100 days during the school year. The position will pickup print shop orders, custodial supplies, and mail to deliver to all locations 2x a week.

SUMMARY CLASS TITLE: Courier Part-Time
BASIC FUNCTION:
Receive and sort incoming and outgoing mail for the District; maintain records for mail and parcel services.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Assist in delivery of large items
- Assist in delivering custodial supplies from Maintenance to each school ? Assist in collecting and delivering printed materials from the Print Shop. ? Answer office telephones and respond to requests for information. ? Perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Procedures and guidelines for proper parcel handling.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- Proper lifting techniques.
ABILITY TO:
- Receive and organize incoming and outgoing mail.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. ? Lift objects up to 100 pounds.
- Meet schedules and time lines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law.
