Responsibilities
- Create supplemental engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, technology integration, and differentiated instruction to meet varied learning needs. Abeka Curriculum is being used currently.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive reinforcement strategies and individualized behavior management techniques.
- Support children’s social-emotional development through nurturing interactions and fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education initiatives, early intervention programs, and classroom management strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in compliance with school policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development within private or preschool settings.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles, including early intervention strategies and special education needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
