Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician–Refrigeration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Tupelo, MS. This technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC and Refrigeration systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, conducting troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, replacing or repairing components, and verifying system performance. The role involves responding to service calls, documenting work performed, maintaining accurate service records, and communicating clearly with customers, supervisors, and team members. The technician will follow all applicable safety standards, comply with EPA regulations, and support a high level of customer satisfaction through timely, professional service.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC and refrigeration systems, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
- Experience with maintenance and repair tasks on heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Knowledge and practical application of preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
- Understanding of EPA requirements related to refrigerant handling and compliance; EPA certification preferred or ability to obtain.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction with professional communication and service-oriented behavior.
- Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC/R; apprenticeship or trade school completion is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to maintain clear documentation.
- Physical ability to perform field work, including lifting, climbing, and working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for travel to job sites as needed.
