Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Heidelberg Press Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining an older Heidelberg printing press 5/color, 40 inch, ensuring the production of exceptional print materials. Your expertise will contribute to delivering vibrant, accurate, and timely print advertising, packaging, and other printed products.
Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor Heidelberg press equipment to produce high-quality printed materials, including labels, packaging, and promotional items
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press machinery to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance
- Implement quality control measures by inspecting prints for color consistency, registration accuracy, and overall print quality
- Manage material handling processes using forklifts or other equipment to load raw materials and unload finished products
Experience
- Proven experience operating Heidelberg or similar printing presses in a manufacturing or commercial print environment
- Understanding of quality control standards within the print industry to ensure consistent output
- Ability to operate machinery safely with certifications such as forklift operation preferred but not required
