We are expanding and seeking a driven Commercial Maintenance Sales Representative / Business Developer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for generating new commercial maintenance contracts, developing strong client relationships, and driving long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for commercial landscape maintenance contracts
- Prospect, cold call, and network with property managers, HOA boards, commercial building owners, industrial facilities, and multi-family housing operators
- Conduct on-site walkthroughs, property evaluations, and needs assessments
- Prepare proposals, bids, presentations, and service plans for prospective clients
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure high satisfaction
- Work with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
- Track pipeline activity, leads, estimates, and follow-ups in CRM
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales goals
- Represent the company professionally at industry events, community functions, and networking opportunities
- Review and interpret RFIs, scope documents, and property specifications, then develop comprehensive proposals and maintenance service plans that meet client expectations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial landscape maintenance sales, business development, or a related field (grounds maintenance, facilities, snow removal, property management, etc.)
- Understanding of landscape maintenance services: mowing, mulching, pruning, irrigation, enhancements, seasonal color, and snow services
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
