Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and handle cash transactions with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards through proper handling, storage, and cleanliness practices
- Assist with food handling tasks including cooking, plating, and packaging to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Support restaurant operations by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the dining area is welcoming and organized
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple responsibilities in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation, food service, or a quick service restaurant is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order totaling are essential
- Experience in customer service roles that involve serving guests or retail environments will be advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures is highly valued
- Previous kitchen experience or working in a café or grocery store setting can provide a strong foundation for success in this role
