Note - All new leadership hires will participate in a mandatory 4-week training program (45 hours/week) at our Plainview, Long Island location.

To support you during this training period, we offer:
- 2 hours of paid travel time per day (at your regular hourly rate)
- Gas & mileage reimbursement during training ($0.70 per mile)

The Assistant Manager is the General Manager’s go-to person. They have exceptional
leadership skills, presence, and ability to see the operation from a birds-eye perspective. They
are working towards mastering Ownerships and working towards being a General Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Guest Relations:
- Ensuring 100% guest satisfaction, facilitating the relationship with guests and team members
- Enthusiastically greeting guests entering restaurant
- Offering friendly service and assistance to all guests
- Assisting guests by providing menu information
- Resolving guest complaints or concerns
- Readily identifying prices of menu items and calculating bill using POS
- Taking guest orders, maintaining fast, accurate service, and ensuring positive guest relations
- Using the company cash register accurately and maintaining proper control of company assets
- Receiving payments by cash, credit or debit card, and/or gift card
- Issuing receipts, refunds, or change due
- Management:
- Serving as support and liaison to the GM
- Serving as acting GM in the absence of the GM
- Directing all daily operations
- Specializing in all FOH & BOH procedures; Ability to work all stations and provide
- coaching, training, and support
- Proficiency in cost of goods and services (COGS) contributor systems (waste logs,
- invoices, prep lists, etc.)
- Maintaining par levels of inventory
- Developing and helping retain Team Members
Food Preparation, Safety, & Inventory:
- Ensuring food quality and 100% guest satisfaction
- Ensuring all food items are properly prepped and ready to prepare
- Ensuring company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained
- Receiving deliveries
- Maintaining proper inventory count
- Ensuring all DOH regulations are being maintained
- Cleanliness:
- Overseeing restaurant cleanliness, neatness, and guest accessibility
- Assigning cleaning tasks to staff as needed
Other:
- Working as both a manager and a team member to support other restaurant team members in their duties
- Completing assigned projects thoroughly and in a timely fashion
- Completing other duties as assigned by the GM
- Essential Functions:
- Demonstrating positive leadership characteristics, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
- Ensuring that all staff are compliant with Company policies and procedures, as well as city, state and federal laws
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by the Employee Handbook
- Communicating information effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business with open availability
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
- Maintaining general knowledge of the Company: location, transportation, management team, etc.
- Ability to access and accurately input information using moderately complex computer systems such as the point of sale (POS) system
- Staying compliant with Company’s policies and procedures, as well as city, state and federal laws
- Attending mandatory meetings including staff meetings, leadership meetings, etc.
- Completing other duties as assigned by General Manager
General Requirements:
- Experience coaching, giving feedback and developing a team (required)
- At least two years of experience managing shifts and cooking in a fast-paced kitchen (required)
Experience and Certifications:
- Serv Safe Certification required
