Requirements
- Must be 18 to operate the deli slicer
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Experience in food service or the food industry is a plus.
- State Food Handler's certification is required within 1 week of hire date.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Shift Lead/Assistant Manager Position Roles
- Openers (7am-3pm) are responsible for baking bread and prepping produce for the day, along with preparing the store for customer arrival at 10am
- Closers (2pm-10pm) are responsible for closing the store at 9pm and resetting product/dishes for next day openers
Responsibilities/Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Prepare sandwiches and other menu items according to Jersey Mike's standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
