Jerry Seiner Collision Center is looking for an Apprentice Auto Body Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has some hands-on experience in auto body or collision repair and is ready to take the next step in developing their skills.
You'll work alongside experienced technicians in a professional, well-equipped collision center while gaining valuable experience in repairing damaged vehicles and learning proper factory and dealership repair procedures.
What You'll Do
- Assist experienced Auto Body Technicians with collision repairs
- Learn and perform basic repairs and replacement of damaged body panels and components
- Assist with vehicle tear-downs and reassembly
- Learn proper repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Use hand, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools safely and properly
- Assist with welding, cutting, sanding, and other repair processes as trained
- Help prepare vehicles for the next stage of the repair process
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Communicate with technicians and Estimators regarding repair needs
- Follow all dealership, factory, and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Some previous experience in auto body, collision repair, or automotive repair
- Basic understanding of vehicle body repair and shop safety
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass required background and drug screening
Automotive school or collision repair training is a plus, but not required.
